This real estate agent killed a possible quick sale for a house in Huerta Nueva (Los Gallardos).He wanted to convince and believe that as buyer I need a lawyer (€ 1.800,-) as representation to buy the house. He got clearly stuck and annoyed when I asked reference to the law makes that mandatory. It seems he play this game often and was convinced he had another foreigner as easy victim for this scam. This is a scam because there is at the moment no Law that makes it mandatory! Then he turned the argument THAT HE will not sell to anybody without Legal representation (most probably his legal services). At this point I had enough of this V.I.P. Almeria S.L. and stopped the call.We know very well how real estate transactions work in Spain.So, it is clear he only represent is own wallet and not the seller who put their confidence in a agent to represent their interest to the maximum.His response following confirms this! They push and want to sell lawyer services (commision for him) checking all kind of stuff as security for the buyer. Some is work as agent for the seller and some are checked by the notary before the house can be transferred to the for what is protected by law. If the agent give false info about the property he could be liable under Spanish Law.He´s not API or GIPE member in Spain (they only 2 recognized independent Spanish Associations, who register you as Agent and control you on quality in the Spanish real estate business). His AIPP logo is not part of the above legal Spanish Associations but something British.THEIR RESPONSE UNDER: As a registered agency that is a S.L that is registered in the mercantile of Almeria for its sole activity which are property sales." --> Their S.L. is justa kind of Ltd. with real estate activities. This doesn´t give any security
