Went to Son Net for lunch in end of May. The estate is impressive and beautiful views surrounding the hotel. The restaurant was very average and no where near a 5 star, only 2 tables occupied which made it feel even worse. The decor inside reminds of The cable guy “Medieval times” scene, interesting choice of designer. Save your money and go to La Residencia.

This was the most INCREDIBLE hotel we have ever been to. The views, the interior design, the service, the staff, the food, the cocktails, the breakfast - everything was far better than we could have ever imagined.Vanessa, one of the hotel's receptionists, was an absolute delight and gave great recommendations for local Mallorca restaurants and sights to see. Patrick, one of the hotel's bartenders, made cocktails better than any that we had in Madrid/Barcelona during the other legs of our trip. And finally, BE SURE to book the wine tasting experience at the hotel with Marcelle - we had so much fun with him and learned so much.Overall, we'll remember our time at Hotel Gran Sonnet for the rest of our lives and cannot recommend this property highly enough.

Absolutely stunning historical building from 1672. The interior decor is gorgeous with handmade textile wallpapers & pristine rooms that take you back in time.The staff is wonderful. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday and were pleasantly surprised by the attention she got and gifts like the cake, cava & upgrade. Thank you!

The blue-blooded cousin of Andalucía's Finca Cortesín, nestled away in the Sierra de Tramontana on the island of Mallorca. 15 minutes away from Palma, but feels like a different world. The make-over of this hotel is perfect, lovely mix of old and new (but cosy). Really nice swimming pool, and decently equipped gym (some swipes for cleaning weights / machines would be nice).

Probably the nicest hotel I’ve ever been to. The attention to detail, the views, the food and drink, the staff and the general atmosphere is truly exceptional. Find any excuse to come here!I really hope you stay open for the winter too!

Stunning setting. Stunning hotel.Enjoyed our April stay here. The evening meals are sublime. The staff very professional.Particularly liked the private areas you could reserve by the pool and lower terrace.Also just 30 rooms so never too busy.Stunningly converted spanish country house and restaurant from a converted olive press.The views from the hill top location are incredible.To be perfect they need to:1. heat the pool.2. Serve consistently good coffee - it was good and bad depending on time of day.3. Improve the lunch food.

Often in Mallorca you’ll find 5 star hotels that would be only 3 stars in mainland Europe. Grand Hotel claims to be five star….. and absolutely is! We’re residents here on the island and we quite frequently go to different hotels for an afternoon drink/sundowner. This is what we did here at Grand Hotel and we found it to be the best hotel experience to date. We can’t comment on the food because we didn’t have any, we just went for a cup of tea. We were as welcomed by the friendly staff as if we were staying in the Presidential suite. The devil really is in the detail of this place. Tea was served in bone china teacups (this is SO rare in Mallorca! It mostly comes in inappropriate coffee mugs). Accompanying the tea were beautifully handmade mini almond cakes and embroidered handkerchiefs. Whilst this might sound ostentatious, it wasn’t at all. It’s just a careful consideration to make for a real treat and experience.We sat on a beautiful shaded and peaceful terrace, one of many little stylish areas to escape to in the grounds. NO music was blasting out. (Again, so rare to find peace and quiet in Mallorcan hospitality). The soundtrack was a bespoke garden water feature and distant cicadas. (Seasonal only).The furniture was extremely tasteful and also very comfortable. Bold materials were a theme throughout the furniture in this beautifully stylish, newly renovated, 17th century Castillo. There was some music playing inside the lounge area but it was very low in volume and perfectly selected for the ambience of the rooms.The grounds and gardens are stunning and designed with real consideration to the awesome Mallorca hillsides. The main swimming pool is another real gem with understated but attentive service from the pool staff, should you want a beverage by the water.As a first experience at this hotel, I would give it 10/10. There is no hiding that it is expensive (for example the club sandwich is €32), however, the designers haven’t shirked on quality on any level. Whilst we won’t be able to afford to stay there any time soon, we feel that our impromptu afternoon drink was worth every penny, and more. Truly a 5 star hotel. Perfecto.
