I was able to visit this institute when I joined a group of Filipino engineering educators: deans and professors, on a benchmarking tour on Renewable Energy Projects in Europe in 2011. The staff were very accommodating. One of the professors explained to us the R&D program of the institute and toured us to their research facilities and experiment setups. We were so impressed with the institute's achievements in photovoltaic (PV) research ranging from fundamental such as, how to improve conversion efficiency using Quantum Mechanics, to applied research on PV systems integration and instrumentation. They also have made good progress in development of semiconductor solar cells that can operate under very high light concentration.Thanks for accommodating our group during that tour and more power to your institute.
