Wonderful people a beautiful place

We spend 4 wonderful days at las mecías for the wild Clay workshop and it was amazing. Laura and Nina are so open hearted and kind hosts, who prepared the most delicious meals. It was nice to feel the flow of nature and to wake up with stunning views over the mountains of andalusia. Thank you!

Sitio espectacular. Recomiendo mucho la experiencia gastronómica completa, desayuno, y menú degustación. Ellas son encantadoras y el sitio esta muy bien pensando en todos los sentidos. Una experiencia única, agradable y para repetir.

I did the Wild Clay Workshop and the experience was simply perfect! Julia and Milena were wonderful teachers and adventure guides through the retreat - a wealth of knowledge and also so down to earth and friendly. Nina and Laura were incredible hosts; I felt like I immediately was staying with longtime friends. The space is breathtakingly beautiful, well designed, and comfortable. The food was incredible! Healthy, delicious, and homemade. The whole weekend had various special touches that felt very personal and made the whole experience unforgettable. Thank you!! I highly recommend and I will be back ◡̈

Wow! That was amazing. The two hosts, Laura and Nina, are amongst the rare truely compassionate and independently thinking and living beings on this planet. Their accommodations with guest house and insulated yurt are beautifully designed with lots of love for the detail. Their cooking is amazing (try Nina’s bread) and they were truely more friends than hosts.The Location in the alpujarra with views down the valley and around the mountains Is one of spains natural heritages. It is unbelievably quiet and therefore among the most relaxing retreats.After myself, Nina and Laura are the 2nd best hosts in Spain - and I don’t have a house yet. So don’t take chances - book your stay!

Campo amarillo , cielo azul, is the beginning of a poem by García Lorca.Here in las Mecias I saw that yellow field and that blue skye.That deep and rich yellow represents for me the richness and generosity of this place. Where everything is done to make you feel good.The little house we stayed in is beautiful and practical. Your water comes from springs in the mountain and is heated by the sun. Wide vieuws everywhere you look, real silence and stars at night. And to complete this fairytale Nina and Laura serve very good and healthy food. This place is the best! Lovely place to stay and relax, the girls are really welcoming so you feel at home the moment you enter their land. It's very special and inspiring to be part of this off grid living during the stay. It brings you back to nature and the essence of life, a real community feeling. Thank you Laura + Nina!

I stayed at Las Mecías in August 2022. What an amazing experience. We were greeted with such kindness and this continued throughout our stay. We booked the guest house and it was clean, modern, and had a fantastic view over the mountains. I can’t complain about anything about our stay.The high quality ingredients provided on arrival were superb, allowing us to make ourself dinner on the first night. Our highlight of the stay was the 7 course meal. Alongside the fresh (locally grown/sourced) ingredients and impeccable taste/presentation, there clearly had been a lot of thought and effort into this menu.I highly recommend Las Mecías to anyone that loves scenic walks, good food, welcoming hospitality or is just in need of a break.
